Seimens SX1
The designers at Seimens have come up with something radical and
interesting to look at with the SX1, with a unique styling, featuring the numeric
keys arranged on either side of the display.
It's not just the Seimens SX1's keypad that's different, the large colour
screen measures a huge 176x220 pixels (more than twice the pixels of most of
the competition). It also has a builtin digital camera, FM radio, MP3 player
and even more.
The Seimens SX1 measures 109 x 56 x 19mm and weighs 110g. In size and weight
terms it's roughly similar to the Nokia 6600, and
indeed it has a similar set of features too. The SX1 offers up to four hours
talktime and twelve days standby.
The Seimens SX1 offers WAP over GPRS, tri-band support, an
XHTML web browser, POP3 email support, bluetooth and USB connectivity and all
the usual stuff that a phone of this type generally offers.
Internal memory is 24 Mb, and the SX1 supports Java applications (great for games) and can
take video clips with the inbuilt camera.
The Seimens SX1 is certainly an interesting phone in terms of features, and
it's clearly pitched up against the Nokia 6600.
Probably the key difference is likely to be styling.. the Nokia 6600 looks
elegantly conventional, the Seimens SX1 looks radical and futuristic. Both
phones are excellent models though.
